when i placed a villager at the vines bla bla bla ...they said a sharp object is needed...how do i get one?

I think I remember.... You need Exploration Tech Level 2. Place a Master Scientist at the rocks near the twisted wood and vines. They should find something and be able to make tools after a few trips.
